Job Description
Primary Function of Position
As a Clinical Education Manager, you will be responsible for the development of educational content that meets the clinical needs of internal and external customers. You will be responsible for collaborating with management and cross-functional stakeholders to conceptualize, design, deliver, and manage clinical content to improve the knowledge and skills of internal learners.
Essential Job Duties
- Complete 7-8-week internal training course on product functions and applications
- Develop internal training curriculum for da Vinci procedures/clinical content and support development activities such as development labs
- Create and deliver clinical presentations and training to the sales force/internal training teams as part of new procedure development activities, as required
- Organize and facilitate train the trainer sessions for internal customers and global Commercial Learning teams, as required
- Collaborate with other departments to determine and address ongoing clinical training needs
- Independently manage clinical education projects to support training needs
- Support first use cases in the operating room as needed
- Research new procedures (as needed) to develop sustainable and effective learning curricula
- Conduct core team meetings with key internal and external cardiac stakeholders/KOL’s to gain their perspective and align on training development/curricula
Qualifications
Required Skills, Experience, Education, and Training
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or above (Business Management, Engineering, or Science degree preferred; education or marketing degree acceptable)
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in training and/or project management
- Experience with creating education materials for adult learners
- Capacity and willingness to work both independently and collaboratively on projects with aggressive timelines
- Experienced multi-tasker; ability to manage multiple assignments and successfully meet deadlines
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including: MS Word, Power-Point, Excel
- Proficiency with e-Learning authoring tools
