Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their dynamic team.  Requirements for consideration:

 Pharmacy Technician 1

• High School diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA within 3 months of hire.

 Pharmacy Technician 2

• High School diploma or GED
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA within 3 months of hire.
• One year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience preferred).
• One (1) year IV training/experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies.
• Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits.
• Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures.
• Showcases proficiency in IV Admixture procedures including using aseptic technique in preparation of medications, calculations, maintenance of clean area and complete documentation and accurately prepares IV Admixture and sterile compounding.
