Vanderbilt Health - Executive Search Team is conducting a national search for a Senior Director, Patient and Family Engagement.Leading at the Vanderbilt Health System Level, the Senior Director, Patient and Family Engagement oversees the following departments and services: Interpreter Services, Volunteer Services, Spiritual Care, Clinical Pastoral Education, Patient Education, Project SEARCH, and the Patient and Family Advisory Councils.

Key Functions:
- Engage patients and families to recognize their roles as the most important members of their health care team.
- Advocate for and drive implementation of patient and family engagement policies and practices to advance a culture of patient and family partnership.
- Gather, Analyze, interpret, and integrate data from various sources to identify trends, strengths, and opportunities for improvement in patient and family engagement.
- Communicate data and feedback to stakeholders to inform, motivate, inspire, encourage and support action that enhances patient/family engagement in care.
- Drive innovation and change to influence the design, processes, and systems affecting the patient and family across the continuum of care and the course of their relationship with Vanderbilt Health.
- Encourage and contribute to continuous efforts focused on clinical quality, safety, and improved outcomes through the patient and family lens.
- Participate in evaluation of enabling technology to enhance patient engagement/activation.
- Translate engagement strategy into measurable action plans, reinforcing shared accountability and supporting effective implementation, in collaboration with various stakeholder groups.
- Promote patient/family engagement practices and processes to encourage and support an organizational culture of caring and connection to our mission, vision and values.
- Support the development of stakeholders to enhance individual and organizational competency and to achieve consistency across the continuum of care for partnering with patients and families.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree and 10 years of relevant experience (MHA, MSN, etc)
