Company Description

The Trade Marketing Manager is part of the RBNA Sales and Trade Marketing team and supports all key tasks in the point-of-sale (POS) development process, from initial concept through to final delivery. This person must understand the retail environment in order to develop effective merchandising solutions, demonstrate a strong customer service mindset, stay attuned to trends and future developments, seek to understand shopper behavior, and above all, be driven to outperform the competition and present Red Bull as the number one brand in-store.

The Trade Marketing Manager helps develop and execute retail marketing and visibility strategies for assigned customers, as well as across the wider Off Premise channel. This role brings Red Bull marketing campaigns to life through comprehensive POS plans, working collaboratively with Global Trade Marketing, US Product, and US Shopper teams.

Job Description

MANAGES VISUAL MERCHANDISING/POS STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT

Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for assigned customers’ POS and merchandising initiatives.

Develop and execute POS solutions that meet the needs of assigned customers, align with shopper behavior, and ensure that Red Bull appears as the number one brand in-store.

Manage and communicate Trade Marketing production timelines to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Support the annual business planning process (including guideline development and “look of success” definition) by providing guidance on effective POS solutions to achieve commercial and brand objectives.

Carry out additional projects as assigned by Trade Marketing channel leaders based on business needs.

NATIONAL ACTIVATIONS 

Develop temporary ambient display materials that support the off-premise sales strategy.

Partner with cross-functional teams in Brand, Operations, Trade Finance, and Sales to plan in-store theater programs.

Partner with agencies of record and vendor partners to develop and execute impactful, easy-to-assemble temporary display items, including technical drawings and the most cost-effective production methods.

MANAGES DEVELOPMENT OF NEW POS INNOVATIONS

Support the development of POS technical innovations and test projects based on business impact and customer needs as defined by Trade Marketing channel leads.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Global Trade Marketing, US Product, US Shopper Marketing & US Operations, and US Key Account Sales teams, to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Continually identify opportunities to improve project workflows and respectfully challenge the status quo.

Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving shopper behavior through industry publications, events, insight reports, and supplier relationships.

CHAMPIONS LOOKING LIKE #1 IN STORE

Reinforces the Look of Success and Perfect Store standards across assigned projects, customers, channels, and supplier relationships.

Optimizes the success of Trade Marketing project execution through regular market visits, customer and sales team meetings, and route rides with distribution partners.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry in brand marketing and/or product development, preferably with exposure to retailers

Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and project management

Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, writing, and collaborating effectively

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective cross-department collaboration and networking

Conscientious, with strong attention to detail and a self-starting attitude

Strong conceptual thinking and design evaluation skills

Technical knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) production (print, permanent, and temporary) required

Experience working with agencies or production suppliers required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite required

Experience with project management tools (such as Asana, Trello, or Workfront) required

Agency experience is an asset

Field sales experience is an asset

Embodies and represents the Red Bull brand in a consistent and authentic manner

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
