Veterinary Neurology Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Neurology Technician to join our fast-paced, state-of-the-art neurology department. Our dynamic team specializes in both neurology and neurosurgery and is equipped with advanced MRI and CT imaging technology. In this role, the Neurology Technician will be responsible for monitoring anesthesia during MRI procedures and neurosurgical cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with complex and challenging neurological conditions, and to deepen your understanding of brain function and neurological disease.

Compensation:
- $25 - $35 hourly, based on experience
- $$ SIGN ON BONUS!!
- On Call Responsibilities- additional per case call-in fee
- Full Time
- Monday - Friday
- 7:30am - 3:30pm
- Monday - Friday
- Technical skills: venipuncture, blood draw, placing IV catheter, lab sample collection
- Admitting and discharging procedural and surgical cases.
- Dispensing medications directed by veterinarian
- Preparing estimates and collecting payment from clients.
- Assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, consults and rechecks.
- Anesthesia monitoring, endotracheal intubation, assisting the doctor with surgical cases, including scrubbing into surgery.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment with a positive attitude
- Surgical assisting: preparing and maintaining the surgical environment
- Calculate drug dosages (IV, IM and SQ) of any pre-induction medications, and administering the same
- Professional client communication
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience required in a surgical setting
- Registered Veterinary Technician, in Colorado, or the ability to become registered upon hire.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
- At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience in a Specialty Hospital
- Experience with performing anesthesia for MRI or CT scans
- Experience with more critical anesthesia
- Ability to multitask and anticipate the department's needs.
- Excellent communication.
- Experience using Medical Record and Whiteboard programs in a veterinary setting.
