This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging.  Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs.  Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia is hiring a Manager, Distribution Client Services. The Manager, Distribution Client Services will monitor, escalate concerns and improve distribution client health. Position is responsible for running a professional client facing distribution team and owning the customer experience which includes full scope of activities includes Distribution project set-up, maintenance & management, Import/Export and Depot Coordination. As international shipping of clinical supplies is an integral part of our supply chain, the position will ensure a smooth transition from Catalent to Catalent and Catalent to 3rd party depot transition.

This is a full-time role position: Monday-Friday -Day Shift, Onsite

The Role  

  • Supervise distribution analyst, Distribution Supervisors, Distribution Coordinators, Pre-Distribution, Global Trade. Perform reviews, manage performance, develop team members, analyze workload of distribution personnel and modify as appropriate
  • Owns customer order pipeline and ensure all clinical requests are processed and shipped on time. Guide S&OP process from distribution perspective with a focus on forecasting excellence. Balance forecasting/demand with distribution capacity
  • Review work flow for operation improvements and implement where makes sense. Once work is awarded and scope includes Distribution, work with customers to define study specific distribution needs and provide solutions to international shipping.
  • Work with Clinical Project Management and Pre-Production Groups in set-up and maintaining distribution specific inventory (bulk, ancillary supplies, finished goods and samples).
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s). Rectifying distribution issues and report findings back to the client. Participate in customer visitations, lead client and visitor tours, and occasional off-site meetings.
  • Generate a Distribution Protocol and supporting checklist for every Clinical Trial Material to be shipped in support of a clinical study.  Revising the Distribution Protocol and supporting checklist as requested by the client with appropriate approvals.
  • Confirm training is provided to Distribution personnel on the specific of the projects in order to ensure understanding and qualification.  Organizing and filing all Clinical Trial Material Shipment documentation into protocol-specific binders.
