Job Summary:

Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures and strategies for resident services and activities.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages resident services, which may include activities, volunteers, medical records, coding, hair stylists and materials/supply orders.   
• Manages staffing including hiring, orientating, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.  This includes determining volunteer qualification and competency with volunteer personnel as appropriate. 
• Supervises records, billing, certifications and other regulatory documentation to support resident services offered.
• Develops and administers plans reflective of organization’s mission and goals.  Complies with regulations related to resident services and activities. 
• Manages and provides reports, documentation and other regulatory paperwork as required by CMS. 
• Completes a variety of administrative tasks related to resident services, which may include medical records, storage, retrieval, and destruction of files according to established Facility procedure.
• Responsible for QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) processes within ministry.
• Demonstrates customer service skills in accordance with established Facility guidelines.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

EXPERIENCE

• Four years’ experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
