Job Summary:

Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders under the supervision of Required Professional Experience/Clinical Fellow (RPE/CFY) supervisors. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Master's Degree: Required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as a department role model and clinical resource.
  • Maintains and advances professional knowledge and experience through continual educational opportunities.
  • Assists in department operations, as requested by managers.
  • Ensures patient, visitor and staff safety. Identifies and reports potential hazards.
  • Collaborates with other professional disciplines to plan, implement, evaluate and revise individualized patient care and discharge plans, based on patient medical record.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
