THE ROLE...
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER to lead our front-of-house team and ensure an exceptional dining experience. A successful candidate will have 5+ years' experience managing high-volume restaurants (200-300 covers) in an upscale and food-focused environment. You are passionate about food and beverage, with a keen understanding of proteins and wine, and look forward to engaging the local community to procure the highest quality products and create unforgettable experiences for both team members and guests.
As the Restaurant General Manager, you are excited to encourage staff development and promote a positive experience for staff and guests to achieve P&L goals. You’ll oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including operations, finances, people, culture, events, and more, while maintaining effective communication to get the job done. As an ambassador for Indigo Road, you’ll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality and strive to create memorable experiences for people through exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere.
What You'll Do:
- Create Experiences: Champion of internal hospitality and leading a team to craft service experiences that leave lasting impressions.
- Inspire Your Team: Nurture and inspire a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the front-of-house team.
- Lead from the Floor: You're a hands-on leader and love working in the trenches with the team, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the Business: Collaborate with the Executive Chef and leaders from the Home Office to maximize restaurant operations. Ensure quality control, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards. Play a pivotal role in managing labor, budgets, forecasts, and ensure the bottom line meets pre-determined expectations.
- Enrich Your Community: Engage with local vendors, businesses, and farms to source quality products while also educating junior team members and advocating for their growth and development. Additionally, actively participate in and support our community's volunteer efforts and charitable initiatives to make a positive impact.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Flexibility: Your schedule may vary (days, nights, weekends, holidays) based on seasonality, covers, and hours of operation. In general, you can anticipate working 55 to 60 hours a week.
- Experience: "Working" General Manager (5+ years), background in upscale dining, a-la-carte, elevated yet approachable environment. You'll also have a passion for wine, spirits, and providing exceptional service.
- Servant Leadership: Dedicated to serving others, internally (team-members) and guests.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Hands-on, passionate about hospitality, and not a "desk-bound" manager.
- Community Engagement: Ability to build strong relationships with local vendors and actively participate in community initiatives.
- Accountability: Strong sense of finances, labor, quality control, and "getting the job done."
THE PERKS:
- Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary, performance-based bonuses (paid quarterly), and PTO benefits after 90 days.
- Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health insurance coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and more.
- Financial Planning: Access to a 401K plan with a 50% match on your first 6% investment, along with Roth options.
