About the role

Amazon Transportation Services is looking for a Supply Chain Manager, ROC Intermodal, to oversee daily freight movement of 1P program. In addition, the candidate will own tactical execution, performance within FC, rail operations space. This position will play a key role in developing 1P intermodal programs.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:


• Responsibility of overseeing all 1P Intermodal network shipments - tactical management of pickups, deliveries and in-transit disruptions.


• Provide network guidance to internal and external stakeholders on daily freight movement at FCs, rail terminals


• Coordinate the early delivery of available shipment into sites needing additional work.


• Provide transit and mode recommendations to IM Planning and Strategy teams based on network health.


• Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.


• Responsibility of daily attainment misses and putting together solve misses

Basic Qualifications


• A completed Bachelors or advanced degree in Business, Logistics, or related education or 2+ yrs applicable Amazon work experience


• Experience as a project/program manager in a retail environment.


• Experience delivering transportation performance and service to customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• A completed Bachelors or advanced degree in Business, Logistics, or related education or 2+ yrs applicable Amazon work experience
• Experience as a project/program manager in a retail environment.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees
• Experience with process improvements
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience delivering transportation performance and service to customers.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $31,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $71,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
