Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of functions involved in the repair of Company facilities, property, and equipment. This position will work under general supervision to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment within facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examine, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machines and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant machines and equipment.
  • Repair and/replace defective parts on plant machines and equipment.
  • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
  • Trouble shooting electrical problems on a variety of industrial hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Effectively interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for products.
  • Make adjustments necessary to insure efficient operation.
  • Communication with management regarding scheduling and repair status.
  • Inspects and checks work prior to turning machinery back to users
  • Performs related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel.
  • May work overtime.
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals, improvements & productivity goals, and improvements within the scope of the job.

 

 

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
  • 2-4 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend).
  • Intermediate  math skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of hardware selection, identifying systemic root causes and process improvements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
  • 4 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical industrial equipment desired.
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired.
