Production Operator - 1st Shift

Description

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Manufacture and package a variety of products through staging, mixing, blending and packaging tasks.

· Operate a variety of mixing / blending equipment across the plant floor as needed

· Exhibit sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

· Previous experience in a batch manufacturing setting

· Willingness to follow plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service 

· Maintain an accurate inventory and minimizing waste

· Ensure good housekeeping of all work area 

· And any duties and responsibility assigned for the department

Requirements

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Previous      experience within the manufacturing/production industry. 
  • Batch       making experience preferred. 
• Core      competencies include strong communication and interpersonal skills,      listening skills, organization, data analysis and attention to      detail. Ability to work      individually and coordinate priorities. Good computer skills in word      processing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required:      High School Diploma,  or equivalent GED
• Requires 3-5 years      or more experience working in manufacturing environment
