As the Sr. Specialist focused on Procurement Supplier Relationship Management ("PSRM"), it will be your responsibility to create, design, and execute a revamped Supplier Relationship Management program within Nestlé USA. The goal is to maximize value creation for the business through our relationships with our vendor base. This role will aid in supplier segmentation to find the right vendor partners to tackle big challenges within our business and will foster transparency, trust, and collaboration between our vendors, procurement category managers, and business stakeholders to create solutions to drive our businesses forward.

Job Duties/Deliverables:

  • Using the procurement category strategies as guidance, work with category teams to complete supplier segmentations to identify key strategic partners for PSRM program
  • Build three year roadmap for SRM program in Nestlé USA, and train category teams on running SRM programs with their key vendors.
  • Create stakeholder map, governance model, RACI model, and general communication plan for PSRM
  • Work with senior leadership team, project steerco(s), category managers, and cross functional peers to create a roadmap for key projects and strategic initiatives
  • Develop metrics, KPIs, and supplier business review meetings to quantify qualifications for suppliers to participate in the “platinum” or “premium” SRM program
  • Identify long term business development and innovation opportunities and pair those opportunities up with the correct strategic suppliers to drive value
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for suppliers to engage with business executives, senior leaders, and project owners.
  • Own the NDA, pre-qualification, and contracting of suppliers for their work with the PSRM program. Create the supplier playbook of how to collaborate and engage with Nestlé
  • Create the “ideas war chest” or innovation pipeline from our supplier base for future opportunities
  • Incorporate total value proposition from supplier engagement which includes topics like sustainability, savings, supplier performance, innovation, new item development, etc.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of a digital solution for managing PSRM data, projects, and results across all business units

Critical Experiences/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in applicable fields required
  • Knowledge of and experience with global procurement and sourcing processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • SAP, Ariba, and OSCAR experience preferred
  • Previous experience with Supplier Relationship Management preferred

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with and influence a dynamic and diverse set of stakeholders, including the ability to listen and understand differing perspectives
  • Strategic mindset with quantitative, problem-solving, project management, conflict management and negotiation skills and a strong desire for progress and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner
  • Adept at managing change and working through ambiguity to identify and drive to a solution, both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across boundaries and boarders and influence with integrity
