Senior Technical Operations Engineer (Join OCI-Ns2)

We're looking for a Senior Technical Operations Engineer who would be responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability. This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide critical issue support to a wide variety of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.

What you'll do: 

Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize OCI Cloud Infrastructure including hardware and software in a cleared environment. Provide escalated technical support for sophisticated technical issues which may include leading problem management cases and providing management status. Coordinate escalated support cases and lead appropriate internal technical resources and/or third-party vendors to resolution. Responsible for Oracle production environments; assist with server operating system and application upgrades, bug fixes, and patching; and work on standardization projects for both hardware and software under the Oracle technology stack while providing consistent system uptime as expected in a Cloud environment. Provide on-call support, on a rotating basis.

Requirements: 

· U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required. Must be eligible/willing to sit for polygraph. TS/SCI w/Poly preferred.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. 

· Experience with Linux System Administration, Networking, Storage, Compute and Virtualization 

· Experience participating in or running incident bridges. 

· Customer focus, passion for delighting customers. 

· Experience in cloud technical support, operations, NOC or similar is preferred, but not required. 

· Demonstrable ability to quickly learn new technical disciplines and then train others.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only 

US: Hiring Range: from $30.29 to $60.63 per hour; from $63,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. 

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
