We are actively hiring for an Actuarial Analyst, Commercial Pricing - Remote!
Your Role:
As a Commercial Pricing Actuarial Analyst, you will prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating. You will support individual account pricing, perform portfolio ratemaking analyses, and lead projects of moderate complexity.
*This role is posted as a level IV Actuarial Analyst. However, we are open to levels III - V for this role.
Your Work:
- Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
- Conducts actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop recommendations for pricing
- Documents assumptions, methods, sources and considerations in an organized fashion
- Prepares actuarial findings and documents that are suitable for technical and non-technical audiences
- Participates in peer reviews to increase collaboration, ensure quality work and drive innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support
- Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools
- Depending on experience, provides mentorship and guidance for more junior colleagues
- Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis
Required Experience, Education and Skills
- BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
- Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
- Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.
- Strong analytical and communication skills
