The Director sets the strategic direction for all Commercial Lending Assistant teams, providing enterprise-wide leadership, oversight, and governance. This role is responsible for managing and developing commercial loan origination employees, overseeing business line reporting, and ensuring system administration and compliance. By aligning team operations with organizational strategy, the Director drives process excellence, fosters talent development, and ensures the commercial lending assistance function delivers consistent, high-quality support to commercial lenders and clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enterprise Leadership & Strategy
◦ Set the strategic direction for all Commercial Lending Assistant teams.
◦ Manage and oversee commercial loan origination employees, including coaching, training, escalated issue resolution, and performance management.
◦ Lead business line reporting and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Governance & System Administration
◦ Oversee system administration, including supporting systems/software, researching functionality/features, building requirements for RFPs or custom development, and
◦ coordinating with IT or vendors.
◦ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
3. Operational & Administrative Oversight
◦ Review reports, pipeline trends, and bank performance at the enterprise level.
◦ Oversee administrative tasks and support for commercial lending operations.
4. Project & Stakeholder Leadership
◦ Serve as a subject matter expert, business line liaison, and key stakeholder on major projects and initiatives.
◦ Represent the commercial lending assistance function in executive meetings and cross-functional governance.
5. Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training.
SECONDARY DUTIES
The position performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The position is responsible for the supervision of all office employees and is expected to provide leadership, training and support to staff members.
ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
The incumbent is in a non-confined office setting in which they are free to move about at will. In the course of performing the duties and responsibilities of this position spends time writing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), sitting, typing on a computer keyboard, and standing, kneeling and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machine, adding machine, computer and related printers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial lending, banking, or financial services.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership and enterprise team management.
• Expertise in system administration, business line reporting, and governance.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
