Compensation & Benefits Specialist – Elderwood Administrative Services

We’re seeking a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our corporate HR team. In this critical role, you’ll support the administration of the organization's compensation programs, employee benefits, HRIS systems, and leave of absence processes. This role ensures accurate data management, compliance with policies, and effective communication with employees and HR partners.

Responsibilities
Compensation and Benefits Specialist:
Total Rewards
- Maintains job evaluation system and ratings for salary grading
- Conducts compensation analysis as needed
- Reviews and approves compensation offers from sites for internal equity
- Participates in salary surveys as needed.
- Processes Health and Welfare invoices and reviews for accuracy.
- Supports the administration of various employee benefit programs, such as group medical, dental, vision, life accident & disability, EAP, NYS and voluntary short-term disability.
Leave Administration
- Responsible for processing leave requests for assigned sites
- Correspond with staff and site HR on missing information, return to work dates, job duty restrictions (when applicable), and health & welfare benefit staff payments
Reporting
- Files EEO-1; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
- Supports the implementation of systems, analytics, and audits data to maintain data integrity
- Update and maintain reporting analytics and dashboards
- Responsible for manual uploads to HRIS system

Qualifications
Compensation and Benefits Specialist:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business or related field preferred
- Human resources generalist experience
- High level of computer literacy specifically Microsoft excel
- Experience utilizing various payroll/benefits related platforms and carriers
