What does a successful Technical Project Management Sr Advisor do?

At Fiserv, a Technical Project Management Sr Advisor provides the overall structure and framework of the project, adhering to project management capabilities to facilitate the activities required throughout the program to achieve the project’s objectives.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate activities and communications across all Fiserv teams and client.
  • Communicate a clear vision and strategy planning with project teams to
    align tracks of work with agreed upon project business objectives.
  • Prepare and manage project plan with key milestones and dependencies.
  • Ensure project governance, including escalation management and communication plan.
  • Drive efficient decision making and progress across the project.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery.
  • Provide a holistic view of the overall program to the organization and all stakeholders.
  • Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in program planning activities, including but not limited to: Defining the overall scope of the program; Creating and maintaining a consolidated timeline/schedule highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for program activities; Identifying and communicating program dependencies and impacts; Putting mechanisms in place to ensure on-going control of the program (E.g., Kick off meeting, overall Program Management Approach, Communication Plan, Risk Management, Issues Management, Change Control, etc.)
  • Define program governance, outlining roles, responsibilities, decision rights and clearly defined escalation path.
  • Ensure success criteria is defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected program outcomes.
  • Keep all stakeholders (internal & external,) engaged in the program, aligned on expected outcomes and informed about what is occurring throughout the program.
  • Proactively communicate the program’s progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout the program lifecycle.  Provide leadership and key stakeholders with the information and venues to make effective, timely decisions.
  • Facilitate alignment and approach for all related Fiserv business areas to meet One Fiserv Objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge about how the organizations work; how to get things done through formal channels and the informal network.   Gain Understanding of the culture of organizations.
  • Manage third party relationships involved in the overall implementation of the project to include scheduling activities, maintaining budget control, while insuring deliverables are properly defined and completed on schedule.
  • Communicate all changes to schedule and scope on a timely basis.

The Technical Project Management Sr Advisor will be responsible for and serve as the client’s first, single and consistent point of contact:

  • For all Project-level parameters.

  • Will participate in Project Level meeting with agreed upon schedule to include the client and representatives of Fiserv – audience to be determined mutually.

The Technical Project Management Sr Advisor will be responsible for collating, accurately producing and presenting the following project-level reporting and tracking to appropriate audiences (Fiserv and Client):

  • Project Health Dashboard.
  • Consolidated Deliverables / Action Tracking.
  • Project Risks / Issues / Dependencies Tracking.

How you’ll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.

What you will need to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of previous project management and/or relevant consulting experience driving large scale projects in a matrixed envir
