Collins Aerospace seeks an experienced Manager – Supply Chain Management professional to work on the Machining Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Team that supports the Aerostructures, Landing System and Propulsion strategic business units (SBU). Role works closely with the SBU Supply Chain functions as well as the Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams. This role has responsibilities that includes the development and timely execution of commodity strategies thru partnership and collaboration with the business unit Supply Chain groups. The ideal candidate will draw from extensive supply chain management experience and have skills to develop strategic plans for the supply base. The candidate will communicate with all levels of the organizations; have business acumen to immediately connect contractual, operational, sourcing, and technical concerns that may impact a supplier’s ability to perform; and is able to proactively identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
What You Will Do:
Lead Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) initiatives for the Machining commodity across the Aerostructures, Landing Systems and Propulsion business units.
Focuses on supplier strategic plans with a medium to long term focus.
Responsible for overall development of the annual Strategic Sourcing Review (SSR) for the assigned business units.
Assist with the development and implementation of strategy execution to improve Long Term Agreement coverage, supplier performance, product cost reduction, and management and execution of supplier agreements.
Coordinates and drives standardization and strategy with a deep level of understanding around complex part groups.
Performs supply chain activities that spans multiple disciplines.
May leads sourcing process from RFQ to work transition Award.
Responsible for communicating effectively with cross-functional departments of Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Contracts, and Program Management.
Manages projects or processes of various complexity.
Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
Must be willing and able to travel 35% of the time (domestic and international)
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
5= years prior supply chain experience in strategic sourcing and contract management
Qualifications We Prefer:
Prior experience with program management
APICS/ISM certification(s)
Masters Degree
