Your New Role 

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a key player in the execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as: 

• Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy) 
• Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc) 
• Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities) 
• Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources) 
• Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery). 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Design and optimize electrical systems for power generation in green energy plants.
• Integrate advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of electrical components.
• Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure during construction.
• Collaborate with and lead diverse teams to facilitate the successful execution of power generation projects.

About You:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience as an Electrical Engineer within the Energy Transition / Power Distribution sectors
• Cross-sector understanding of the energy industry, particularly energy generation and distribution
• Experience with urban energy supply objectives and strategies
• Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions
• Knowledge of smart grids, sustainable heating/cooling systems, energy storage, carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) design and equipment, specification and requirements of electrical studies and calculations preferable
