Director, Finance - Wrangler

The Director – Finance (Wrangler) is responsible for leading the financial budgeting, forecasting, planning, strategic planning and analysis for Kontoor’s largest business (Wrangler US + Canada) with revenue of ~$1.7B. This position proactively directs the organization’s financial analysis, maintaining accountability for business results, profit and loss, calendar adherence, pricing, and executing key strategic initiatives. This position is a key strategic business partner to the GMs of NAM, Traditional, Outdoor and Western, as well as the broader merchandising and sales organization. This individual manages a team of four, one Sr. Finance Manager, one Finance Manager, and two financial analysts and reports directly to the Vice President – Finance, Global Wrangler.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Business Partner: Lead a finance team of three financial analysts to provide key strategic financial advice to the brand, assisting and counseling them on all major business decisions.
  • Track progress against key strategic initiatives, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Strategic Plan and Annual Financial Plan: Direct the business units’ strategic plan and annual operating plans to ensure they accurately reflect business dynamics and the strategic direction of Wrangler US/CAD. Advise leadership with respect to initiatives that drive the business and achieve goals.
  • Monthly Forecast: Direct both finance and cross functional teams in the completion of the monthly forecast, ensuring the forecast represents current and expected business conditions and aligns with the strategic direction of the brand. Present out to corporate financial leadership and Wrangler executive team on actual results and projections reflected in the financial forecast.
  • Ad-Hoc financial analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions including SKU productivity, key account POS and shipments, excess and distressed inventory, advertising ROI, etc.
  • Pricing: Drive account level pricing and resulting bottoms up margin and mix analysis. Consolidate detailed pricing/margins for review with the President of Wrangler, VP - Finance and Wrangler leadership team. Make pricing/margin recommendations to drive profitable growth.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting to key Wrangler and Kontoor financial & business leaders including: key account and LBU sales, key account profitability, gender and product category sales and margin, Ecomm sales/profitability and other financial information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7 + Years successful and progressive experience in finance or accounting
  • Applicable experience in the Apparel industry a plus
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP software
  • MBA preferred
  • CPA/CMA/CFA a plus
