Full-time, hybrid position. Occasional nights and weekends, including on-call as needed during some events and system updates. This position is based on a 40 hour work week.

Position Overview: 


Benaroya Hall is seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to monitor, maintain and optimize the performance and resiliency of IT network infrastructure, server and storage systems. As the IT Network Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems supporting our performances, events, and daily operations. This role plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability, security, and functionality of our IT infrastructure, including servers, WiFi networks, on-site and cloud storage solutions, streaming systems, network routing, and firewalls. 


Key Responsibilities:


IT Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals and objectives.

System Maintenance and Optimization:

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of servers, on-site and cloud storage solutions, Wi-Fi systems, network routing, and firewalls.
  • Monitor IT performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Deploy, configure and support event-based transient network / internet needs. 

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data through the implementation and enforcement of security measures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for IT operations and data protection.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions and support.
  • Work with contracted IT support providers to implement workstation, storage, and network equipment policies, updates, life cycle renewal planning, and IT systems documentation.

Project Management:

  • Manage IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Provide leadership and guidance during IT emergencies or major system outages.

Industry Trends and Advancements:

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend and implement new solutions.

Requirements


 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends as needed.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role in IT operations, preferably in a performing arts venue or similar environment.
  • Advanced Networking -- TCP/IP, VLAN, VOIP, QoS, VPN, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, Complex Routing, MultiNAT, Firewall configuration and administration, 802.11.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows system Server Technologies Servers OS -- Windows 2008+ required -- Virtualization (Hyper V, Azure, AWS, VMWare, etc), Exchange (both On-Premise and Cloud), Office 365, Terminal Services, Cloud Storage 
  • Databases (SQL, MySQL, etc.), Backup, RADIUS, RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI
  • Experience in IT project management, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Must be proficient in diagnosing systems issues directly, and/or remotely. Must be skilled in making or finding technical      resource informat
