Position Summary 

If you love exploring and identifying new growth opportunities in health care, this role is for you! As Senior Manager of Growth Intelligence, you will drive high impact, strategic analysis for CVS Health’s Enterprise Strategy team, a Fortune 5 and leading health solutions company in the U.S. As a critical part of the team, you will be frequently engaging with senior leaders to identify, analyze, and target de-novo growth and innovation opportunities across the health care ecosystem. Some of your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Conduct health care research to inform long-term growth strategy, including opportunity identification, market sizing, market maps, and feasibility studies.
  • Lead  and participate in moderately complex financial assessments that contribute to large-scale enterprise planning and investment decisions.
  • Oversee the management and organization of market materials and key metrics to support geographic insights and local market strategic decisions.
  • Manage and organize structured data files from multiple sources, including internal and external data sets.
  • Proactively identify  new data collection opportunities, applications of existing data, or analyses that contribute to team’s strategic role in exceeding outcomes. 
  • Design and develop business cases and presentations that speak to value proposition, assessment results, various growth approaches and assumptions. 
  • Partner with Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, FP&A, and Enterprise Economics to evaluate robustness of model assumptions and projections.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on the team as necessary.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

To be successful, you will: 

  • Bring and continue to develop a solid understanding of health care business drivers across payer, care delivery, PBM, and pharmacy.
  • Use critical thinking to frame business problems, acquire relevant data points, design analytical plans, and provide actionable insights and strategic solutions. 
  • Have a passion for identifying new opportunities and creative growth strategies, including inorganic growth and de-novo business development.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of organization and those with and without technical backgrounds. 
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities. 
  • Work effectively both independently and as a team with diverse stakeholders, including business, technical and/or clinical. 

Required qualifications. 

  • Strong understanding of financial drivers of health care businesses, with exposure to at least one of the following business - payer, provider, PBM, pharmacy 
  • 7-10 years of growth and innovation experience in health care 
  • Strong command of business case development and financial modeling, including share price analysis, market maps, financial forecasting, and benchmarking.
  • 3+ years proven experience in executing revenue and profitability, comparatives, precedent transactions, break-even, and sensitivity or scenario analyses using external and internal data sources.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with equity research platforms and data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and advanced skills in Excel 
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Less than 10% of time. 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Previous consulting or investment banking experience
  • Master of Business Administration or master’s in economics, Finance, or related field

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$90,480.00 - $199,144.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonu
