As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a utilities location. What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any unusual conditions.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings, especially within utility environments, and report any unusual activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and to control the flow of personnel and/or vehicles in accordance with site protocols.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary and follow established protocols for armed patrol posts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Applicants must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
