What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Develop and implement strategies and processes to ensure the field quality of Scout Motors products and services.
  • Ensure the customers' quality expectations on our products and services along the entire customer journey.
  • Define and implement processes and digital solutions to get real-time feedback on the quality status of our products and services.
  • Manage the field monitoring and pre-analysis activities to identify necessary product improvements as an input for the fast resolution process.
  • Take over responsibility for the roll out of containment actions together with the After Sales team.
  • Implement and manage quality KPI’s for all relevant customer touch points.
  • Define and mange customer and quality surveys to improve the customer satisfaction for products and services.
  • Take over responsibility for the warranty cost budget and drive initiatives to improve warranty costs.
  • Develop and provide leadership to the Customer and Field Quality teams and oversee daily operations.
  • Mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Customer and Field Quality team.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within Scout Motors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of a Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here’s what else you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial engineering, vehicle engineering or related field
  • 10 years of experience in automotive product/after-sales quality, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
  • Very good technical understanding and sound specialist knowledge of vehicle technology and the related quality processes as well as market/sales processes (especially after-sales).
  • Knowledge in data engineering and data analytics as well as in implementation of digital solutions to facilitate a Data Driven Quality approach.
  • Sound knowledge of quality management
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • ASQ certification, AIAG, VDA experience an asset.
