POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Berks, Division of Science, invites applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-line position at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology. This position is a thirty-six-week appointment for the 2025-2026 academic year, with August 2025 as the start date. Primary teaching responsibilities include 12 credits per semester of lecture and laboratory courses in introductory biology and plant and animal physiology. Because Penn State Berks has a growing number of Latino/a and first-generation students, candidates with experience and interest in working with this population are strongly desired.

Applicants should have at least a master’s degree in biology or related field. Candidates for the position at the rank of Instructor will possess a master’s degree and candidates for the position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor will possess a terminal/doctorate degree.
