Job Description
The Software Engineer will support our Air Force customer out of the Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) specifically with the Advanced Battle Management System - Digital Infrastructure (ABMS-DI). The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers on the team as well as with government senior engineers at geographically dispersed locations. He/She will be a thought leader and will drive innovative solutions in support of the customer mission.
We are seeking to staff one position that can be at any one of these locations:
- Hanscom AFB, MA
- Wright Patterson AFB, OH
- Montgomery, AL
- Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington DC
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
- Verify and Validate DI Platform Design
- Develop system functional test plans and ensuring software developer unit tests are effective.
- Provide subject matter expert support to government for improving the design or operations of the DI CI/CD software development pipeline.
- Establish and maintaining software development version control
- Ensure software developers are documenting software code effectively.
Responsible for the following Deliverables:
- DI Orchestration Platform Function Test Plan
- Version Control Plan
- Issue Tracking Metrics
- Programming Style Guide
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

- Kubernetes (K3D/RKE2/EKS/AKS)
- PlatformOne BigBang
- Hashicorp Vault/Boundary/Consul/Terraform
- Service Mesh Design
- Hypervisors (Proxmox/ESXi/Harvester)
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I/II Certification
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance
