About the role

Description

Vistra  has a position for a dual-role position that serves as both the Task Lead for the USSOCOM Mission Assurance Support team and as a Senior Mission Assurance/Antiterrorism Subject Matter Expert. The individual will provide leadership oversight while delivering specialized expertise in security engineering, risk assessment, and force protection to support CDRUSSOCOM priorities within the USSOCOM Chief of Staff (SOCS) organization.  As the Task Lead you will be responsible to be Vistra's  on-site representative, liaison, and primary point of interface with Contractor personnel as well as with the Government Technical Representative and COR. You will also monitor personnel workload, address performance concerns, immediately inform the COR of any vacancies upon learning and take action to ensure issues are remedied and open positions are filled by a fully qualified individual in accordance with the Service Delivery Schedule (SDS). 


As the Senior Mission Assurance/ Anti-Terrorism SME you will have the following duties:

  • Support the SOCOM Mission Assurance and Antiterrorism (MA/AT) mission by providing operational integration, training, and mission support to MA/AT requirements. 
  • Provide Government developed and approved MA/AT training to the SOF Enterprise 
  • Provide specialized engineering support and analysis to USSOCOM Force Protection requirements. 
  • Perform Force Protection related risk assessments. 
  • Prepare security engineering planning and cost analysis for projects or improvements designed to mitigate risk. 
  • Provide Vulnerability Assessment and Protection Option (VAPO) process analysis, or equivalent modeling and simulation capabilities. 
  • Manage the DoD system of record for Mission Assurance Risk Management System (MARMS) 
  • Provide Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)

Requirements

  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access 
  • One of the following: 
  1. Masters of Science in Engineering with three (3) years’ Risk Management (Antiterrorism/DCIP) experience
  2. Security and/or AT focused Master’s Degree with six (6) years’ experience in Blast Analysis, Blast Mitigation, Infrastructure engineering, and six (6) years’ experience in Risk Management.  
  3. Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering with six (6) years’ experience in Risk Management (Antiterrorism/DCIP)
  • Five (5) years’ experience in the DOD Security Engineering planning process, as defined in the DOD Unified Facility Criteria 04-020 series 
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Vulnerability Assessment Protection Option and Force Protection 
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as assigned to, attached, employed by, or contracted by USSOCOM or one of its subordinate organizations 
  • Ten (10) years’ experience preparing written products for senior leader (general officer/flag officer/senior executive service level)
