Financial Accountant

This role will include responsibility for month end financial close (including journal postings), completing finance reconciliations and analysis and business partnering with the daaI Finance Leadership. 

• Co-ordination and delivery of month end financial close with both local Corporate Services team in Saudi Arabia and head office in Ireland in accordance with daa international and corporate deadlines.
• Ownership of the monthly revenue accruals and deferrals process.
• Ensure accuracy of monthly accounts for daaI’s business units together with analysis and insightful commentary against budget/latest expected.
• Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month end with proactive follow up of reconciling items.
• Preparation and posting of month end journals to ensure accurate and timely month end close position for Group Finance review.
• Business partnering on new projects and commercial opportunities as required.
• Other ad-hoc tasks within the Financial Reporting team as required.
• Support Quality Management system including active participation in team meetings and updating Standard Operating procedures in line with ISO and daa reporting requirements.

Education, Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong month-end financial close and reconciliation experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion and EPM a strong advantage.
• High personal motivation and professional integrity with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work on both own initiative and as part of a team environment.
• Strong IT skills – Excel (Advanced), Power Point, GL Wand.
• Curiosity and desire to learn about and add value to the commercial business.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills together with a proven effectiveness at working directly with senior management.
