About the role
Meta seeks an experienced investigator and data analyst to support its important affirmative and defensive litigation docket and enforcement work. The investigator will manage investigation requests from Meta’s litigation team from start to finish. This work will involve a range of responsibilities, including researching and investigating violations of Meta’s terms and policies, attributing conduct to those responsible for it, data collection and analysis, and OSINT investigations. $150,000/year to $213,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

- Work under your own initiative to develop investigative work plans and strategies
- Conduct data-based investigations using a variety of methodologies
- Work cross-functionally with teams across Meta
- Use SQL and other internal tools to collect and analyze data
- Document investigative findings in detailed and comprehensive reports and deliver results to a variety of audiences
- Authenticate data and other information, including through sworn declarations and testimony
- 8+ years of combined experience collecting and analyzing data, conducting investigative research, and developing investigative work plans and strategies
- Experience conducting complex investigations
- Experience drafting investigative reports and documenting evidence and findings
- Demonstrated experience using SQL and data tables
- Experience presenting investigative findings to non-technical personnel
- Experience using analysis tools similar to Maltego or Tableau
- 10+ years of combined experience collecting and analyzing data, conducting investigative research, and developing investigative work plans and strategies
- College degree with a focus on statistics or computer science
- In-depth experience with written communications, explaining, and using SQL to collect data
- Experience working with an in-house legal team
- Demonstrated experience understanding and explaining python, JavaScript, and other common programming languages
