Job Description

Ready to make your mark on change leadership? This is an exciting time for the Talent Management team at Verisk, as we build a change management offering to support our business leaders.  The overall team, responsible for performance and talent management, learning, engagement, and leadership development is looking for a change management expert to create a repeatable approach to the people side of leading change.  This person will partner with and support Verisk’s Claims organization to enable the successful adoption of their growth strategy.  Join this dynamic and collaborative team of professionals and make your mark on how we lead change at Verisk.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Consulting & Engagement
    • Consult with business leaders and HR partners to understand vision and prioritize objectives for change. 
    • Find improvements to increase realization, value create, return on investment and achievement of results and outcomes.
    • Engage, coach, and support leaders to drive faster adoption. 
  • Planning
    • Leverage change processes and tools to create a strategy and plan to support adoption of required changes. Actively adjust and maintain a project plan.
    • Create actionable deliverables to support leaders, people managers, and other stakeholders through changes
  • Communication & Training 
    • Support and lead communication plans to maximize adoption of required changes.  Design, develop, and enable delivery of key communications.  
    • Provide input and support in the design and delivery of training programs; partner with Learning Team and external vendors as needed.
  • Sustainment
    • Define measures of success.  Assess change readiness, conduct impact analyses, and monitor change effectiveness over time. 
    • Share knowledge and expertise with team members.

Complete special projects as needed, working closely with business partners.

Qualifications

  • Extensive working knowledge of change management practices, methodologies and tools, and experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Credible understanding of project management (internally and externally) tools and principles.
  • Ability to effectively influence, build relationships and give effective feedback, at all levels, up to and including the business President.
  • Proactive in planning ahead even if working with ambiguity, anticipating risks & dependencies even if outside core remit, focusing on the right priorities demonstrating our values.
  • Able to react to evolving situations at pace, re-evaluating plans, or decisions as they develop and able to identify and respond to interdependencies with other programs.
  • Displays mature and grounded confidence, responding in an appropriate manner to criticism and remaining optimistic in the face of obstacles or new, difficult situations.
  • Shows resilience and courage, addresses blockers, and stops when things are not working.
  • Flexibility and confidence when communicating messages, engaging or presenting to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Must be able to commute to the Jersey City office at least 2-3 times per week.
  • Must be able to travel to other locations as needed (up to 20%)
