Technical Business Systems Analyst

What does a successful Technical Business Systems Analyst do at Fiserv?

As an integral part of our dynamic and innovative team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and quality assurance, to gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure successful delivery of software solutions. Your expertise in understanding business processes and technical systems will help drive operational efficiency and create exceptional customer experiences.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and work with product teams, developers, and architects to ensure seamless integration
  • Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth system operations
  • Produce Jira documentation in support of applications including information around relevant data, analytics, and core operational and technical processes
  • Ensure that payment systems comply with industry standards, regulatory mandates, and security best practices
  • Continuously update and refine business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on feedback and changing business needs
  • Initial troubleshooting of QA and CERT incidents during the testing phase
  • Support deployments and perform validations during the deployment phase
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the team, serving as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful project execution

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis within a technical environment
  • 5+ years of experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting system analysis, and proposing technical solutions
  • 5+ years of experience following Agile methodology using tools such as Jira or Confluence
  • Experience working with payment processing systems involving online transaction processing and payment network protocols such as ISO 8583, EMV, and PCI-DSS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

  • Experience working with payment acquirers, gateways, processors and related ecosystems
  • Experience working with credit and debit payment schemes and networks
  • Experience with SQL
  • Certifications in business analysis, such as a CBAP or PMI-PBA
