Regional Director, Oncology Clinical Genomics

The Regional Director, Oncology Clinical Genomics leads a team of Hereditary Cancer Specialists focused on promoting Natera’s Hereditary Cancer test to Oncologists, Genetic Counselors, and Surgeons. This role involves coaching and developing the team to achieve annual sales targets. The individual reports to the VP of Sales and collaborates with cross-functional teams to create and implement business plans aligned with corporate objectives for the Hereditary Cancer product line.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Clinical Genomic Specialist team by hiring, coaching, and guiding a team of sales professionals. Set an example through effective business planning, CRM utilization, and field travel to achieve Empower sales goals.
- Educate and recruit Key Opinion Leaders from the Hereditary Cancer/Oncology/Surgical medical community.
- Increase revenue and drive market development through direct sales to individual Genetic Counselors, Oncologists, and Surgical Oncology.
- Sales efforts include effective prospecting, cultivating and maintaining key relationships.
- Create and implement a strategic business plan to grow revenue quickly in your geography.
- Sales efforts will focus on currently marketed products and new product launches.
- Play a critical role in the success of the organization.
- Utilize and access PHI via various technologies (paper and electronic) to perform the job duties.
- Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, general Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
- Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
Qualifications
- BA in Business, Marketing or related field is required; MBA preferred.
- Background in B2B Sales, medical or biological sciences; clinical diagnostics preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ successful sales & management experience preferably in Breast/GYN/Hereditary Cancer/Medical Oncology, diagnostic laboratory business.

- Proven track record of success in leading a team of sales people to develop new markets, launch new products and increase revenue quickly.
- Award winning management track record.
- Market knowledge and experience in Surgery/Pathology/Laboratory and Oncology Preferred.
- Effective time management skills required.

- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; Gmail; Salesforce.com.
Physical Demands
- Co-travel with Clinical Genomic Specialist (CGS) calling on physician offices and hospitals.
- Duties are typically performed in a medical office or hospital setting.
- This position requires the ability to use a computer keyboard, communicate over the telephone and read printed material.
- Duties may require working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends) at times.
- 75% of travel required.
In addition to the OTE listed below, this position includes equity as part of the total compensation package.
The compensation package listed is for 1st year OTE, which are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. On-target earnings (OTE) represent the total potential income an employee can earn by achieving 100% of their performance goals. It combines a base salary with commissions and serves as an estimated figure rather than a guaranteed amount, providing a guideline based on average performance outcomes.
