About the role

Description


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed in a satisfactory manner: 

  • Picks up and transports      equipment, supplies and MHE to and from designated locations.
  • Provides all necessary      support to the Project/Program Manager (PM) at fielding sites as required. Assists Supply Technician with conducting      fielding as needed when PM unavailable.

· Processes requests for issue and turn-in for all classes of supply and equipment. 

· Maintains inventory of stocks and account records for various types of properties received and processed at the supporting SSA. Rotate stock as required by regulation. 

· Performs warehouse, area, and equipment maintenance. 

  • Prepares issue and turn-in documentation for all      expendable supplies. 
  • Performs inventory and storage activities; to      include sensitive items, cataloging, property utilization, customer      reconciliations, requisitions processing, issue and receipt of supply      items, supply parts research and analysis. 
  • Updates logistical reports daily. 
  • Establishes and maintains automated and manual      accounting records, post receipts and turn-ins. 
  • Monitors customer services, answers telephones, and      provides information as appropriate. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The requirements identified below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily meet the expectations of this job:

· Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work. 

· Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc). 

· Must be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the required tasks to standard. 

· Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work. 

  • Knowledge of principles and processes      for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs      assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of      customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of      yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take      corrective action.
  • Identifying complex problems and      reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and      implement solutions.
  • Considering the relative costs and      benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • The ability to tell when something is      wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem,      only recognizing there is a problem.
  • The ability to apply general rules to      specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to combine pieces of      information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a      relationship among seemingly unrelated events).


Requirements

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred minimum five years experience in the Military. Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships. Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard. Must have at least 3 years training in logistics as it relates to property accountability and logistics and warehouse operations. Formal schooling, certification, and training from an accredited agency preferred. Capable of operating mechanical and manual material handling equipment (MHE). Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

An equivalent combination of education and experience as identified above.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to senior management, contracting officials, clients and other employees in the organization.
