Perlman Summer is a 7-week program which includes the International Leadership Training Conference (ILTC) and Kallah. ILTC is designed to hone leadership skills for teens serving (or aspiring to serve) as regional BBYO position-holders in their home communities. ILTC participants often become the top leaders of the BBYO teen movement, gaining skills in recruitment, program planning and civic engagement. Kallah is a Jewish learning and spirituality institute that inspires teens to explore their Jewish identities and interests in a diverse, pluralistic setting encouraging questioning and experimentation. Kallah participants gain important Judaic skills and come away feeling a deeper connection to Jewish study, Israel, and community. Both programs are expected to reach 200 teens.

 

 

Location: Lake Como, Pennsylvania

Work Commitment: ILTC/Kallah | June 17 – August 7, 2025 - $2,200

 

Chapter Leadership Training Conference (CLTC) is a 13-day program designed to develop and strengthen the leadership skills of BBYO chapter leaders. At CLTC, teens from across North America will form mock chapters and learn specific skills that help them lead their chapter at home. CLTC builds on a curriculum based on teens focusing on leadership development, program planning, and hands-on experience. CLTC is expected to reach 600 teens across 4 sessions throughout the summer.   

 

Location: Poyntelle, Pennsylvania

Work Commitment: Choose One of the following:

CLTC 1&2 – June 4, 2025 – July 7, 2025 - $1,330 

CLTC  3&4 - July 9, 2025 – August 13, 2025 - $1,405

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have attended CLTC, ILTC and/or Kallah or equivalent.
• One year post participation in BBYO program
• Have experience and can demonstrate supervisory expertise with multiple professionals and departments.
• Have experience and can demonstrate program design, vision, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Can commit up to 10 hours a month from March – June for training, planning, implementation, and supervisory purposes.

General Responsibilities:

• Serve as a role model for participants as a young Jewish adult and an exemplary BBYO alum, translating past BBYO experiences into learning opportunities for participants. Display how the AZA and BBG movement meaningfully expands beyond high school years.

Specific Responsibilities:

 

 To manage Teen Life in Cabins:

• Manage Daily Bunk Clean Up and Inspection
• Camp Clean Up (Organize Office, Reset All Rooms, etc.)
• Ensure that all teens are accounted for and involved out of the dorm and in the regular daily schedule of the program
• Actively involve, and sometimes create, lead and evaluate programs at CLTC
• Support Dorm of the Day Responsibilities
• Ensure All Teens are provided appropria
