The Policy Senior Associate will support the VP of Policy, External Affairs & Partnerships (EA&P) in advancing FanDuel’s external advocacy strategy. This role will play a critical part in shaping FanDuel’s policy engagement, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and amplifying the company’s responsible gaming and community impact initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, and highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, synthesize policy information, and support high-level external engagement.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

Advocacy & External Engagement

  • Support the VP in executing FanDuel’s advocacy and external engagement strategy.
  • Research and track legislative and regulatory developments relevant to FanDuel’s business and responsible gaming priorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, policy summaries, and talking points for meetings with policymakers, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Assist in coordinating FanDuel’s participation in public events, policy forums, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain databases of legislative contacts, advocacy activities, and engagement outcomes.

Strategic Alignment & Partnership

  • Collaborate with Government Affairs, Public Affairs, and Legal teams to ensure message consistency and policy alignment across all advocacy efforts.
  • Translate outcomes from Responsible Gaming and Community Impact programs into clear, compelling policy narratives.
  • Support the preparation of internal reports, executive updates, and strategic planning materials related to advocacy and partnerships.
  • Help coordinate cross-functional initiatives that link FanDuel’s policy goals to broader brand and business objectives.

Leadership & Representation

  • Represent FanDuel in select industry working groups, nonprofit coalitions, and community partnerships under the direction of the VP.
  • Serve as an internal resource for policy insights and emerging issues relevant to gaming regulation, community investment, and responsible play.
  • Support the VP in preparing executive briefings, presentations, and public remarks.

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in government affairs, policy analysis, corporate public affairs, or related field.
  • Awareness of state and federal legislative processes and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in gaming, sports, technology, or regulated industries preferred.
  • Commitment to FanDuel’s values of integrity, innovation, and responsible entertainment.
