Description of assignment

To provide an insight on the product quality of our software, we would like to dashboard (test related) KPI data. Determine who are the stakeholders and which data they need. How can we fetch this data from our systems in an automated way? How can we make sure this data is up to date? And how can we filter and present the data on our dashboard? Can we make this presentation dynamic and configurable by the users?
 

After your research on the desired KPI data, the data needs to be fetched from several tools and be sorted and interpret. Then we would like to have it on a dashboard where it will be automatically updated (e.g. once a day). This assignment will combine your data analysis skills with your programming skills. We expect you to learn the basics in our standard tooling like Powershell, Bamboo, Polarion and PowerBI so you can gather your data and provide a first dashboard. This dashboard can later be extended by our own team. Also, we expect recommendations on the open requests. Since the data gathering and analysis will involve quite some work, it is also possible to do this as a dual internship, working closely together with another student.

Vanderlande is a market leading, global partner for logistic process automation. One of Vanderlande’s key products is the Loopsorter which exist in a so called Crossbelt sorter & a Helix sorter which Vanderlande develops and produces. See also: Vanderlande CROSSORTER - YouTube. To strengthen Vanderlande’s market position the Loopsorter is being developed on continuous base. As part of this continuous development, we have defined this assignment.
You will join the Loopsorter Technology Stream. You will be part of one of the agile teams of this Stream but you will be able to fully focus on your assignment.
 

Tasks/responsibilities

• Identify stakeholders and their required KPI data.
• Collect data automatically from different systems.
• Ensure the data stays up to date.
• Process and interpret the collected data.
• Create a dashboard in PowerBI to present the data.
• Make the dashboard dynamic and configurable.
• Provide recommendations based on the analysis.

Your profile

• Competent programming skills (languages/tools like Powershell, PowerBI, Sharepoint, Bamboo)
• Independent, pro-active and hands-on
• ‘Can-Do’ mentality
• Collaborate with the team and organization to achieve the goals
• *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
