Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so. We want you to join our diverse team as a Database Administrator Level 2/3 located in Palmdale, CA.
You will implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases. You will conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Review database design and integration of systems, provide backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintain security and integrity controls. Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 2: High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years experience; or Bachelors and 2 years experience; or Masters and 0 years experience.
- Level 3: High school diploma or equivalent and 9 years experience; or Bachelors and 5 years experience; or Masters and 3 years experience; or PhD and 1 year experience.
- Experience with Oracle Database.
- Experience working with PL/SQL.
- Experience with MS Access-based applications and VBA.
- Willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Top Secret Clearance.
- Experience with Oracle in Windows environments.
- Experience with Sunflower Asset Management Database.
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and upgrading Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with Python, PERL, and/or Java a plus.
- Security+ Certification.
