Your New Role…
The Director, Anime, Action and Kids/Family Series position is responsible for creative management of animated series in development.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Partners with VP/SVPs to develop new projects for potential animated series and shorts. Actively participates in pitch meetings, reads pitch materials acquired through various sources and provides feedback on pitches. Collaborates with various creative talent, including writers, artists and directors, to oversee the creation of development materials from pitch through greenlight to series.
Responsible for networking with talent inside and outside the studio. Attends events, festivals and conventions to represent WBA and connect with artists and writers for staffing or development. Connects with talent representatives to solicit scripts for review and takes general meetings with writers, producers and other talent.
Helps build department strategy by maintaining awareness of industry trends, buyer needs and up-and-coming projects or talent. Connects with executives at buyer companies to stay up to date on their mandates. Stays aware of the broader pop culture landscape to better understand the target audiences.

Qualifications & Experience…
Work Experience
5+ years of previous animation creative management experience required
Interest in anime, action or horror genres preferred
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
High school diploma required
BA/BS degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of script analysis, story and character development process required.
Strong knowledge of animation production process and industry marketplace.
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, e-mail and the internet required.
Ability to interact knowledgeably and effectively with other divisions
