Director, Generative AI

The Director of Generative AI will explore, evaluate, and lead the delivery of generative AI solutions, leveraging the latest advancements in deep learning and large language models to transform Natera's product portfolio. This role will collaborate across business functions to identify high-impact applications of AI that create value for our customers and patients. We need someone who's not just knowledgeable but hands-on, with a track record in machine learning, NLP, natural language understanding (NLU) and natural language generation (NLG). In this role, you'll be a key player in driving innovative projects throughout the company, using generative AI and large language models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide visionary leadership, while developing the strategic vision and technical roadmap for integrating state-of-the-art AI innovations into Natera's product suite.

• Use case identification: Collaborate with cross-functional partners in engineering, product, and commercial teams to translate AI innovations into customer and patient value.

• Identify new opportunities: Apply natural language processing, computer vision, recommendation systems, and other AI techniques to drive efficiencies, engagement, and scientific insights.

• Lead prototyping and deployment of deep learning solutions like transformers, GANs, and reinforcement learning to enhance genetics testing and diagnostics.

• Product integration: Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate generative AI technologies into our products and services.

• Prototyping / Pilots with 3d parties

• External partnerships: Engage with external start-ups and research providers to ensure that we use the correct and best technology.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML or equivalent practical experience building impactful AI products.

• Expertise in state-of-the-art deep learning techniques with a track record of innovations in AI.

• In-depth knowledge of deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and other open sources libraries/APIs or similar.

• Digital Transformation experience with demonstrated ability in translating big picture business and product ideas into micro use cases and has a strong focus on solving core problems to deliver simple solutions.

• Experience leading AI initiatives and taking models to production at scale.

• Excellence in leveraging cloud infrastructure and capabilities for AI innovation.

• Strong communication, strategic thinking, and people leadership skills.

• Passion for using AI to transform healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote USA$200,000—$250,000 USD
