Job Description
Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Lead Systems Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Monitor acquisition and coordination of requirements from customers and other regions. Innovation to meet future powertrain requirements in the motorcycle and recreational vehicle domains. Coordinate with global development teams to create and validate optimized hardware, software, and calibration solutions. Develop tools and training to support functions. Provide technical support for Bosch 2WP customer project teams worldwide. Assess the strategic and innovative development to meet future customer demands, global legislation and optimize profitability in the motorcycle and powersports powertrain domain. Analyse the acquisition and analysis of global legislative requirements related to motorcycle and powersports powertrain. Participate in business case development for new proposals. Responsible for all forms of transportation propulsion systems, based in Germany. Exercise Bosch development responsibilities outside the conventional powertrain teams. Remote Work May Be Permitted. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 7 years professional experience with motorcycle powertrain and Engine Management Systems for internal combustion engines. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) Calibrating and analyzing motorcycle and off-road vehicle powertrains using industry standard tools including ETAS INCA, MATLAB/Simulink and Vector CANalyzer; (2) Analyzing and managing system requirements using IBM Rational DOORS; (3) Developing Powertrain Software Architecture (PTSA) strategies for engine management systems using IBM Rational Doors; (4) Developing technical strategies for powertrain systems, functions and components for all market segments; and (5) Innovation development and management using CFI Business Model Canvas, or equivalent tools.
