Summary

IT Infrastructure Engineer II / III (Voice) – Critical Voice & Emergency Communications

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer II / III (Voice) to support and maintain the voice calling infrastructure at APS, including E911, Emergency Lines, Call Manager, and CX calling systems. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability of voice communication systems that support critical operations, emergency response, and enterprise connectivity.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage & Maintain Voice Infrastructure – Oversee the installation, configuration, and optimization of APS voice systems.
• Ensure Emergency Communication Readiness – Provide ongoing support for E911, Emergency Lines, and CX voice systems to ensure continuous availability.
• Support Substation & Network Expansions – Enable voice infrastructure for new substations, enterprise growth, and future system integrations.
• Collaborate with IT & Operations Teams – Work closely with network engineers, IT leadership, and emergency response teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Enhance System Reliability & Security – Implement best practices for monitoring, troubleshooting, and securing voice communication networks.

• Expertise in Voice Technologies – Hands-on experience with Call Manager, E911, emergency communication systems, and enterprise voice infrastructure.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and secure voice networks in a complex IT environment.
• Infrastructure & Systems Knowledge – Familiarity with voice architecture, integration testing, and next-generation communication technologies.
• Collaborative & Detail-Oriented – Skilled at working across teams, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring uninterrupted voice services.

Minimum Requirements

IT Infrastructure Engineer II (Voice) – Critical Voice & Emergency Communications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
• PLUS two (2) year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience within a job area or system

IT Infrastructure Engineer III (Voice) – Critical Voice & Emergency Communications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
• PLUS five (5) year of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience within a job area or system

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications

• Knowledge of all infrastructure technologies (compute, storage, networking, physical infrastructure, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages and solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS); infrastructure management tools and monitoring tools; solution sizing for hardware/software platforms; industry standard security requirements and designs.
• Troubleshooting; installing and repairing PC hardware and software; advanced design, maintenance and repair of servers; applying creative solutions to business problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met; advanced information system configuration management
• Ability to developing and write technical documentation; evaluate and test emerging technologies.
