Senior Product Marketing Manager (Vicor Corporation; Andover, MA): The Senior Product Marketing Manager will ensure success in developing and driving high performance power module products world-wide in the datacenter market segment. This individual should have a strong technical background along with international customer experience. This is a key leadership position within Vicor to drive new product initiatives within the
datacenter space. The individual will be involved in all aspects of product development and management including: Product definition – Defining new product requirements and capability by leveraging internal technology advancements to customer requirements, industry trends, and competitive mapping; Establishing product justification through review of development costs, revenue forecast, technical risk assessment, and development timeline; Product development – Coordinating and align internal organizations for product development activity to product design goals, cost targets, and development schedule; Managing key product developments with engineering, operations, and product engineering; Working closely with European and Asia sales/marketing teams on beta customers and early adopters to ensure design-in success; Driving critical product launch elements including datasheets, application notes, white papers. Directly supporting customer program requirements from discovery to production; Continuous improvement – Maximizing customer product adoption driving product refinements, possible product derivatives, and new product roadmaps that supersede existing product performance; Supporting automotive sales team on product aspects and customer system designs and; Driving cost reduction efforts and managing product life cycles. Please note that this is an
individual contributor position without direct reports. 25% travel to maintain close contact with the sales and marketing organizations world-wide.
 

Education / Qualifications

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus 1 year of Industry experience in related field. 

Must have: Strong working knowledge of both DC-DC and AC-DC power conversion designs. Knowledge of the European and Asian customers involved in power supply designs. Ability and flexibility to talk with key customers in different time zones.
