Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Sweeps, mops, waxes, strips, and polishes floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets <br>-Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment <br>
-Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass <br>
-Empties, cleans, and sanitizes waste receptacles in assigned areas <br>
-Cleans and sanitizes restroom facilities and fixtures as assigned including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed <br>
-Picks up debris around building <br>
-Operates and controls high and low speed stripping/buffing machines <br>
-Sets up tables, chairs, and equipment in a variety of settings for special events and normal hospital activities <br>
-Identifies and reports building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities <br>

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience
experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers perferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
- Good communication and comprehension skills.
