Job Details:

Work shift: 1st shift. Monday - Friday - 7am to 5pm. Based pay $26.50/hr. with attendance incentive. Flexible scheduling required as workdays/hours may change in the future. Holiday work required and some weekend work required. 

Must reside within 30-mile radius of facility.

Job Description:

This Lead position will be at the Magee Feed Mill.  This position will serve as the liaison between the Manager and Team Members to ensure all directions by the Manager are understood and carried out in a timely manner when performing all feed mill maintenance functions.  Position reports to Feed Mill Manager. Must be willing to report to work promptly and regularly. Must be willing to take directions from management and work well with others and delegate duties accordingly with a desire to achieve and set goals.  Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately; react to change productively and handle all other tasks as assigned. Must be willing to comply with Tyson’s Preventative Maintenance Program. Must be willing to perform preventative maintenance and repair on all feed mill equipment. Must be willing to train new hires or any team members requiring re-training. This position will use good oral and written communication skills in order to read and communicate instructions for repairs/installations, and to effectively communicate any issues/problems to the Manager.   Must be willing to monitor spare parts inventory control and procurement weekly.  Must be willing to maintain minimal downtime and understanding the standards and crewing for the maintenance department.  Must be willing to maintain all records as required by Tyson and/or other regulatory agencies.  Must be willing to maintain full knowledge of and comply with all Tyson and/or other agency safety, electrical, hot work, environmental, lockout/tag out, forklift operation, railcar mover operation, boiler operation, and all other policies and/or procedures.  Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with no more than two moving violations in the last two years to exclude D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence) conviction on his/her Motor Vehicle Record. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a company license.

Job Requirements:

Maintenance Generalist candidates must have the minimum years of industrial maintenance experience to match maintenance level in posting. One (1) year of training can be equivalent to graduation from a Maintenance Training program. Experience/Training must be documented on application or resume (Experience can be a combination of employers as long as experience equals the maintenance level posted) Selected candidate must reside within 30-mile radius of facility.
