In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of Tier 0 – 3 diagnostic RCS/RF tests, data analysis and engineering support working with leadership across multiple projects to ensure efficient and accurate signature characterization. The roles you will support will drive development activities and fulfill contractual requirements for programs of various sizes, including some of Northrop Grumman’s cornerstone activities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Operating and maintaining Tier 0 – 3 RCS testing / inspection tools for signature characterization and diagnostics.
• Designing, planning, and executing RCS/RF tests, to include determining test requirements, testing methods, equipment / measurement selection, test setup, and pre/post test reporting.
• Analyzing system and component test results, working with program survivability personnel to determine compliance to signature requirements, evaluating design trades, and making recommendations for materials, composites, and other aspects of survivability performance.
• Present to the customer and NGAS leadership on risks and planning.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors, and bring them into compliance for Program support.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
• Active DoD SECRET (or higher) clearance, within 5 years of last investigation.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a special access program clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Educational/ Experience Requirements:

  • Principal Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of related professional/military engineering experience. 

  • Senior Principal Survivability Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree AND 6 years of related professional/military engineering experience, OR a Ph.D. AND 5 years of related professional/military engineering experience.
