Construction/Manufacturing Safety Coordinator

We are searching for an experienced safety professional to support the Greensboro/High Point, NC area. This person will be responsible for OSHA guidelines, customer and company safety policies and supporting administrative tasks.

Typical Duties

• Typical schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Some weekends and overtime may be necessary.
• Conduct OSHA safety training as required.
• Conduct daily job hazard analysis and review with team.
• Walk site (to include roofs) and evaluate environment and employees for OSHA compliance and risk.
• Immediately correct risks.
• Communicate with site foreman and EHS Manager regularly.
• Complete site assessment forms and forward to EHS Manager.
• Conduct weekly tool box meetings.
• Perform AED & fire extinguisher inspections.
• Attend regular dept meetings.
• Lead incident investigations and assist with injury reports.
• Review and inspect confined space and crane lifts.
• Preform Safety Presentations.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field construction safety industry
• Must have OSHA 30 certification.
• Must be comfortable with MS Word and EXCEL.
• Ability to take detailed instruction.
• Positive “can do” attitude, strong work ethic and a team player.
• Good problem-solving abilities, communication skills, aptitude and manual dexterity
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Flexible working schedule to support project needs.
• Must have an OSHA 510
• Osha 500 preferred
