What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Partners with HR leaders, business unit leaders and functional groups to lead D&I initiates within the organization
- Proactively identify DEI program opportunities and lead operational efforts in alignment with GXO’s global diversity, inclusion and belonging strategy
- Partner with the leadership teams, functional leaders and associates to further develop the vision, direction, and execution of a multi-site DE&I strategy, including training, education, engagement, program development, and implementation
- Leverage data to inspire action and drive key outcomes; ensure preparation of project updates, and applicable metrics/measurements on a regular frequency to key stakeholders
- Raise the capability of the organization to further diversity and inclusion efforts; responsible for the design and implementation of a diversity and inclusion learning and capability building plan to enable the broader organization to have an impact in this space
- Leverage resources, insight, know-how, relationships, and data to ensure involvement, support, and success for inclusion and diversity initiatives
- Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams on furthering GXO’s reputation and employment brand to attract and recruit a diverse employee population
- Encourage and moderate open and practical conversations to lead departments, teams, and individuals to a greater understanding of diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace
- Collaborate with HR and focus groups to help design, build, and launch strategic programs that further advance diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the employment experience
- Identify and build relationships within the broader community and identify external partners that deliver impact and support our strategies for underrepresented groups and other dimensions of diversity
- Liaise with HR Leadership to align regional efforts with corporate strategy GXO Environmental, Social & Governance executive leadership
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in human resources or related field of expertise in diversity and inclusion
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with core diversity and inclusion concepts and practices as well as solid capability in organizational change
- Track record of fostering, driving, and implementing innovative ideas with broad impact
- Experience with Microsoft Office
It’d be great if you also have:
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate partnerships with and between company and community constituencies
- Awareness of global, national, and regional trends around inclusion and diversity
- Program and be responsible for any training, supplementary materials or opportunities throughout to ensure a well-rounded offering
- Demonstrated strategic partnering skills and the ability to work across functions and communities to develop ideas and deliver outcome
- Experience in translating external and internal trends into innovative practices
- Demonstrated budget development and oversight experience and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, helping develop team members and fostering a positive and inclusive experience for the team
