Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering and Construction Manager to join our growing team. As the Manager you will report into our Director of Centralized Engineering and Construction Support and oversee a team responsible for Enterprise & Wholesale accounts across the 20 state Brightspeed footprint. This position will require navigation through internal and external partners, driving implementation of activities for complex projects. This role requires strong business acumen, the abilities to define and implement groundbreaking ideas, to work within a fast-moving environment to rapidly deliver support and services that have a broad business impact, and desire to have an industry wide impact.
Qualifications
As the Engineering and Construction Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead team of project coordinators ensuring enterprise and wholesale orders meet completion deadlines and budgetary projections
- Analyze Managed Enterprise Inventory
- Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to produce project tracking & reporting.
- Develops/updates project progress and status reports.
- Preparation of project integrity audits
- Track project progress, issues/risks and prepare status reports
- Coordinate trouble resolution and implement changes to prevent problem recurrence
- Actively seeks opportunities to transform the business and eliminate costs
- Direct local engineers in the review of mechanized engineering designs for potential redesign opportunities
- Provide process support to the network team and infrastructure services contractors supporting front line execution of an extensive fiber deployment
- Leads by example in creating an environment that encourages open communication, sharing ideas and best practices, and building strong cross-functional relationships

Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience
- 5+ years Telecommunication experience.
- Prior industry experience in telecom, enterprise account management, leading teams
- Understanding of engineering, installation & maintenance, and order management in the Telecom industry
- Microsoft Project or like applications fluidity
- Project/program management
- Experience with engineering work orders, installation orders, facility records, network inventory management
- Prior industry experience in managing infrastructure service providers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with cross functional teams
- Process improvement and customer-centric mindset
- Ability to motivate others and work under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to articulate via written and through oral communication
BONUS PONTS FOR:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications
- Telecom/Cable/Internet Service Provider industry experience
