About the role
ROLE SUMMARY
As the Senior Director leading Commercial AI Strategic Prioritization, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a long-term AI strategy that directly supports commercial objectives and accelerates speed-to-market for high-impact initiatives.
The key accountabilities of this role include:
- Building a well- defined, long-term AI strategy that aligns with the business objectives and yields measurable improvement in speed to market for high impact AI initiatives
- Ensuring tight integration between commercial goals and AI product development to maximize business impact
- Driving strategic resource allocation across the AI portfolio to focus on initiatives with the highest enterprise value
- Ensures AI initiatives are scalable, sustainable, and capable of delivering long-term impact
- Develops frameworks that lead a culture of data driven decision making
- Ensures strong engagement and buy in from internal and external stakeholders on AI initiatives
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and present executive level reports and decision-making materials
- Interface with BU & CMO leadership to drive strategic alignment and investment optimization
- Coordinate with Marketing and Digital leaders to surface high-value AI opportunities and ensure strategic alignment with functional priorities
- Cross Function Leadership collaborates with commercial, engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure understanding of commercial priorities & AI capabilities
- Lead business case development for Tier 1 initiatives, including financial modeling, ROI analysis, and risk assessment
- Define key metrics for measuring business outcomes and tracking delivery of value across Marketing AI initiatives
- Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks for each Tier 1 initiative to enable post-deployment value tracking
- Design prioritization framework that evaluates marketing alternatives across business impact, technical feasibility, resource requirements, and strategic alignment
- Drive data-driven strategy refinement based on performance analytics and stakeholder feedback
- Inform change management and communication strategies to Develop a strong relationship with marketers, ensuring buy-in throughout the portfolio prioritization and management journey
- Partner closely with Commercial AI Council to align strategic direction with operational delivery capabilities and Marketing AI pod execution
- Collaborate with Marketing AI Pod Leaders to ensure governance frameworks support efficient delivery while maintaining quality and compliance
- Coordinate with Digital/IT and Data/ML Platform teams on strategic architecture decisions and enterprise capability development
- Own the content for meetings. ATC, Sponsors update, Commercial Forums
- Ensure the integrated delivery of persona specific capabilities by partnering with CoCo and Scout POs
- Strategize on key stakeholder engagement and messages and ensure the rest of the teams (change management, Business translators, POs are consistent w/ that approach)
- Ensure connectivity across teams both breadth and depth to identify issues proactively
- Build relationships across organizations and stakeholders
- Represent the organization in forums where AIA LT cannot be present
- Own the collection and curation of decks, training, and other material for the organization
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 12+ years in commercial, strategy, operations, product management, or related roles
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with AI technologies, commercial models and go to market strategy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or equivalent
- Prior experience in AI focus organizations or commercial strategy
- Leading enterprise-scale AI initiatives with demonstrated success in launching and scaling AI products or solutions with measurable business impact
- Technical fluency in AI concepts, data analytics, and performance measurement; able to bridge technical and business teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
